Staffing Update – Thursday & Friday 13th November

We have a very high number of staff off sick with seasonal flu today (Thursday 13th Nov) and tomorrow.

We are prioritising acute care for same day appointments and the issue of prescriptions and medications. We keeping the phone lines open but there may be a significant wait as we do not have as many staff as we need. Please use call back option to keep your place in the queue but for us to call you back when you reach the head of the queue. Please don’t wait on line – we will call you!

We may need to close PATCHS slightly early for both clinical and administrative requests so that we can ensure a response. If you have a routine or administrative query that can wait until Monday, we’d be grateful if you can hold on until then. If you are experiencing coughs, colds or flu like symptoms, your community pharmacist can support you, including the prescribing of antibiotics in certain circumstances.
