To use the self request chest X-ray service you must be:
Aged 40 or over
Registered with a Leeds GP
Have not had a chest X-ray or chest scan in the last two months.
and you have had one or more of the following for over three weeks:
Cough
Fatigue or tiredness
Difficulty in breathing
Loss of appetite or weight
Chest pain
Coughing up blood
A lump in the neck
How do I use the service?
No appointment is necessary. Just walk in to any of our X-ray departments and ask to use the Self-Request Chest X-ray service. You will be asked to complete a paper form to check you are eligible, before having your Chest X-ray.

Leeds Sexual Health Service offers Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screening and treatment, HIV testing and contraception services. Their main base is in Beeston Hill Health Centre with serviceshttps://www.leedssexualhealth.com/ also offered at Armley Moor Health Centre, Chapeltown Health Centre and Seacroft clinic.
The NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme is continuing to roll out the age extension of the eligible target population. This age extension is being implemented at different phases in different geographical areas. It has now been confirmed that patients registered with a GP Practice in Leeds are now eligible to be invited into the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme from the age of 50. This makes the target population 50 – 74 years in Leeds, with screening offered to patients every 2 years.
