Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.
They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

The administration team are an important team looking after the background running of the practice. Medical secretaries type your referrals and other letters and can give advice on and help with chasing up your hospital appointments.
The team also scan paper letters received so they are visible to the doctors on their computers. Summarising of medical information takes place in this department so that is it easy for doctors to see your medical summary on the computer.
Razia looks after all of the finance and HR administration.
Beth & Zoe coordinate our Long Term Conditions invitations and medication monitoring.
